Does Your Child Struggle In Reading?
As a licensed teacher who has worked in the school setting, I have seen kids who struggle and not get the support needed. As a parent, I have seen my own child work extra hard to excel.
My name is Ann Mitchell and I am the owner of Castle Rock Tutoring. I am a Special Educator licensed in the beautiful state of Colorado, for the past nine years and have been offering to tutor for the past four years. My love of reading along with my extensive training has brought me to offer my services online.
In as few as 12 weeks, I can help close the gap on your child’s reading an entire year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does online tutoring work?
First, you sign up and download a program called Zoom. It is completely free.
Next, you will receive an invite to a zoom meeting from me by email. Click the link in the email to join the meeting.
When you join a meeting for the first time, Zoom will prompt you to open the meeting in the app or download the app. If you have already downloaded the app just open it and you will be directed to the meeting room.
You will notice that we can see each other on video just like Skype and we can hear each other through the computer audio.
During the first session, I will have all the resources on my side of the screen. Zoom has a screen sharing feature that allows me to show my screen to your child. This is just like as if I were sitting right next to your child and showing a book or a worksheet to him or her.
At any point that your child needs to click on things on my screen, I can hand the controls over so that she can do that. Online tutoring is extremely interactive and will blow your mind.
There is a video from Zoom that will explain what you can expect here. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting-
How long are your sessions?
Session length will be determined by the needs of your child.
For kids that are younger than eight years old, usually, 30 minutes is the perfect length. For children that are older, an hour session works best. There are exceptions for kids with learning disabilities, ADD, and ADHD. In which case, session time will be based on attention span.
Sometimes, the students’ schedules and my schedule have unique needs that determine whether a 30 minute or a 60-minute session would be better, as well as frequency during the week.
How long will my child need tutoring?
This answer is going to vary based on a couple of factors.
